National Institute for Disability and Rehabilitation Research

The Rehabilitation Engineering Research Center (RERC) on Wheeled Mobility is one of many RERCs focused on a variety of topics that are of interest to people with disabilities and the professionals who work with them. This RERC is the only one focused on wheelchairs and wheelchair technology.

All RERCs are funded by the National Institute of Disability and Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR) in the Department of Education. If you would like to know more about RERCs that focus on other topics you can link to them through the NIDRR site.
