Anhue Yohali Burrola Méndez

Anhue Yohali Burrola Méndez is a PhD student at the University of Pittsburgh School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences and is working with ISWP in the development of the Hybrid Training Course. She was born and raised in Mexico where she obtained a Physical Therapy degree and worked for five years in the clinical and academic fields before moving to the US. She completed a Masters in Science at the University of Pittsburgh. She participated in the Training of Trainers (TOT) delivered at the International Seating Symposium (ISS) in February 2015. Since the TOT, Yohali has co-trained the World Health Organization (WHO) Wheelchair Service Training Package (WSTP) Basic level El Salvador and Nicaragua and the WSTP Intermediate Level in the Philippines. Her research interest includes the adaptation and implementation of online education programs for low-income settings.
Yohali has recently been awarded with a four-year fellowship from The National Council on Science and Technology (CONACYT) to develop a wheelchair service training project in Mexico.
